what are the requirments for the novice moves in the field and freeskate test.

Ah, l know Novice moves all too well (took me something like 10 attempts to pass them, sigh).
The skater must give a performance that is generally good. The preciseness of the footwork should be nearly faultless, the body motion well timed & the flow & power very good. No major consistent errors should be in evidence.

Novice Moves in the Field:
* Backward Perimeter Power Stroking with Back Inside 3-Turns & Forward Inside 3-Turns
* Forward Perimeter Power Crossover Stroking to a Backward Quick Rocker-Turn Sequence
* Forward & Backward Outside Counters
* Forward & Backward Inside Counters
* Backward Rocker Choctaw Sequence
* Spiral Sequence
* Bracket Three Bracket Pattern


The Novice Freestyle test requires a program of up to 3 minutes.

Requires double toe, double salchow, double loop jumps, & a double-double combination.

Requires a solo spin of something like 8 revolutions, a camel back camel spin (4-5 revolutions on each foot), & a combination spin with one change of position & one change of foot.

In addition the skater must have a footwork pattern & connecting steps, edges & elements (like spirals, split jumps, etc) that indicate a Novice level skater.
