what would be a nice blade scrunchy, like those little cloth things that scrunch on the blade to keep the blades from scratching the boots, what would be a good design or print, what do they have out there?!

The print & design taste all depends on you!! What is most important is that u have TERRY cloth soakers to take care of the moisture on ur blades. I've had plain cloth ones from a club ''gift'' - & they were not particular good - stayed wet & made my blades rust! And that u get ones that fit ur blades the best.

Honestly, it is not something u will buy a bunch of . . . one can last u a long time until it starts getting holes from the blade.

You use the soakers to actually soak up the water after u r on the ice, so that ur blades do not rust- I've found that most of my scratches on my boots actually happen on the ice. l use the puffy soakers with a terry soaker inside for extra absorption & to try to make my soakers last as long as possible (they get holes in them fairly easily) Good luck!

Soakers r useful for preventing scratches, but their best purpose is in soaking up the moisture leftover on ur blade after u dry them. This keeps rust away.

There r many different soakers available. You can even make ur own using a hand towel folded up a few times with the ends tied off.

There r plush one that look like animal fur, or ones with little stuffed animal heads & tails. There r tie-dyed, bright colors, dark colors, even basic black! Some have cartoon characters, & even some that look like a chenille sweater! There r new ones with mesh on the bottom that lets u walk around in the skates/soakers.

The most important thing to remember is that u want the soakers to be absorbent. Buy soakers that have the insides made of cotton terrycloth.
