Do not hesitate before going into it. Keep hips down and square, shoulders down not up so close to your chin and legs should be slightly apart before touching down. Its more mental work than actual physical work.

Landing a jump with a bent knee, knee over toe and not turned out which makes your ankle turn out and causes you to miss your edge.

Also do not bend at the waist or swing your arms out to play catch up.

ur arms should follow ur legs ( my coach told me lol) do not hesitate before jumping and practice single tow loops.

when you pick into the ice after the 3-turn, make sure your right foot pivots around the left and take off with your right knee going straight to the ceiling. Do not forget to keep your arms checked (left in front/right to the side) during the 3-turn and then following through for the jump part.

Make sure u have a solid, single toe with good technique - no pre-rotating . . . or else u will be fighting to do a double toe correctly.

Make sure the shoulder on the side of ur pick foot does not trail back as u pick back . . . not only will ur body rotate, but ur pick foot will not be in the correct position to vault off of (it will make u step off the pick & leave u no choice but make a toe axel out of it).

One of my coaches had us doing an exercise slow on the ice & on the ground for single or double. You do the inside 3, pick back - then stop. There u will see where u r picking (and if u r checking when you're picking!). Then with the corrected pick back, we'd draw the other foot in to the pick foot to get that feeling of drawing in or scooping. Ultimately u need that feeling of drawing in before u pick . . . the drawing in & vaulting is what will give u the height in ur jump.

Practice walk throughs as a double toe warm up . . . as u may have done with axel. Do a toe loop/back spin . . . & end the back spin by checking out the time u would for double toe.

Speed helps. With more speed, the higher ur jump can be (if ur jumping technique is sound) . . . the higher the jump, the more time u will have to rotate in the air to make ur landing. That is with any jump.

Hope that helps some - good luck with ur double toe!

3 turn make sure ur left arm stays directly in front almost like going into a lutzmake sure u pull ur arms in tight and when u prick pretend ur going into an axel only u kinda went into it backwards

First analyze what u r doing wrong. Ask ur coach or film yourself, though doing both always helps. Left arm goes in front, right arm towards the back, out to the side. Make sure u go into it with a good amount of speed but not more than u can handle. Do not pick too close to ur right foot, or left if u r clockwise. It should be at a diagonal angle, not to the side or right behind. As u slightly tap, bring ur right foot off the ice & ur arms around, because u do not want to toe axel, which is not leaving the ice until u r forward. <-- l assume u know but just in case. ^_~ But be careful not to rotate ur arms before ur right foot has left the ice or u r pre-rotating.

Jumps can be hard to explain without visuals. You may just need more height, or more speed, or more power.

Lastly, sorry if my advide is confusing or wrong. My teaching skills could use help. Good luck!!
