They look like a protractor going from tip to tip on their toe picks as they turn across the ice.

That has always been one of my favorite moves in skating and you do not see it much anymore but l would love to see it make a come back.

Make the question more specific - is it a spin entrance or is it part of a step sequence?

Some spins you might be thinking of are the flying camel, flying sit spin and the butterfly. Search them in YouTube and you might find what you're looking for =)

Hi toonew2two! l know u asked this in my other question . . . I've been trying to think since!! Do u possibly mean ''stars''? The example at the top of my head was the end of Tiffany Chin is Long Program at the 84 Olympics http://youtube.com/watch?v=EMLBqSINSG l (about 4:14 mark). For stars - no big points - but it makes for a nice, explosive & exciting move to wrap up a program! It is not super difficult - but having a good, strong looking position can take work (I've seen slouchy ones with the leg not quite up in the air).

If not, maybe see if u can find an example & give us a link in ''addititonal details'' to ur question. There r few other moves that come to mind (eek - & some l do not know what they're called!!). Hope we can find an answer for you!!

Forward inside 3 is with a toe push. Forward outside 3, switch foot to back outside 3. Forward inside mohawk switch foot to back outside 3. It is repeating the same footwork repeatedly, but shortening (kind of cheating) the edges as u get faster (official names???). l think of him with a sequence of half loops (half loop, land, go directly into a half loop again, & perhaps again) . . . but l can not find it . . . l will edit again if l do!!!
