Hello All
l am in the process of breaking in a pair of Jackson Classique. Left foot is perfect, right foot always gives me an outside edge... l have to FORCE hard to get it on flat, not to mention inside edge. Never had this problem with previous skates :(
Time will probably solve it (l hope!!!). In the meanwhile, is there anything l can do to address this inside edge issue? Specific stretches / bends? Ways of putting on skates?
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!
Jane
PS: So far l have skated 3 times (roughly 5 hours) and l walk in them at home... Anything l should do on/off ice to help getting the inside edge faster?

Apbapbap.. you can not rush in breaking into skates. They are two be skated with at least 5 times to be more comfortable.

Yes, time will solve it.

Until then, just make sure when you put on your skates, to see if you can fit three fingers in your skate after tie-ing them.
Remember.tighter near the toe, looser near the ankle.

Every boot is unique, even if they r the same brand as ur last pair. It is possible that the blade may need adjusting or the boot may be slightly off balance. Visit the skate shop where u purchased the boots & ask them to take a look at it. If u did not purchase them from a skate shop, u can still go to one to ask for their opinion. They r the experts on boots & have seen every boot problem out there. They have wedgies to make slight shifting if necessary & can shave off the boot if needed.

You should not have to force an edge. It may be necessary to have the skate technician come to the rink to watch u skate & then he/she may decide to re-position the blade to correct the problem. The problem may be with the blade not the boot so the skate shop is ur best bet to sort it out.
