I've done both but would love to everyone else is opinion. It seems like Ice skating would be harder because it is more slippery but l actually think it is easier. What do you think? Yeah, l think once you know how to roller skate, Ice skating is easy. When l first did it, l went out naturally like a pro. But when l first did roller skating, that crap took me FOREVER to learn.

l would say rollerskating is harder to learn, but ice skating can hurt more.

Ice Skating, l had to use a walker the last time l went. It was pretty funny!

l found rollerskating harder. perhaps it is because you really can not lean into a turn, and the bulk of the skates makes it harder to do crossover steps. Perhaps it is also due to the fact that l grew up ice skating and only did rollerskating a couple of times.

Hmm, depends, there about the same for the most part, unless your at roller rink using the old style roller blades not the newer hockey like roller blades. THe old style roller blades are hard for people who have never bladed before, l mean on ice you can hit cracks, on land you can hit cracks. And it hurts pretty equally when falling

ice i can do both very well but its a bit harder on ice cuz its harder to stop and you have less traction on the surface

ice skatig is harder if you fall it is on hard ice where if your roller skating you can jump to grass or fall on your but without it hurting as bad as falling on hard ice!

l would say ice beacuse at the end you might fall and it hurts more to hit ice than the wood also when you scate for way to lonf you will get bliters there you go

l find ice skating to be easier because of the blade behind your heel - it helps to balance your weight if you lean backwards. Ice skates are also much lighter than roller skates and usually have ankle support built in.

Well for me l would say Ice because I've not done it yet. Roller skating is easy because you can get it used it and hold on to something. But it does both hurt to fall down( l would say) but that is my opinion.

well when you ice skate you have to make sure you lace your shoes really tight or else your ankles will start to hurt. l guess when you rollerblade you have a little bit more balance, but they are both pretty easy.

l think roller skating is harder, because l am a figure skater and l dont think its that hard to glide on 2 blades, but it might be hard for everyone else =D

Im a figure skater and l roller skated for 2 years before l started figure skating. l love ice skating!!! It is sooo much easier than roller skating!!! The only reason why people say ice skating is harder is because of the toe picks. This is why a ton of people fall down!! roller skating is harder for me because, there is a bigger chance to fall backwards and forwards. Inline skating is easier though!

ICE SKATING by a long shot. Rollerskating you have wider 'blades' l would recomend you to get used to roller blades hen step up to iceskates.

The low friction environment of ice skating means 'new' skaters will tend to go faster, sooner, on ice skates than inline skates - as there is less resistance to overcome per stroke. In speed skating, both inline & ice r complex movements that require a lot of practice to master. Inline skating is known for being physically tougher, ice skating for being less technically forgiving (requires a higher level of movement precision).
If you're learning/practicing outdoors on varied pavement surfaces, inline skates have a lower rolling resistance than conventional (quad) rollerskates (you will go further per stroke), more ankle support, & offer more front-to-back stability (meaning you're less likely to fall forwards when hitting uneven pavement or debris on inline skates than u r on quad rollerskates). Learning at a rink or skating center is easier for a real beginner.
