l have just been Ice Skating and l forgot to take socks with me. Have you ever done it; l went swimming before and lost them so l had to skate without them. Has this ever happened to you - l felt so silly!

well if you where using rentals you better go soak your feet in germ-x that is so gross l feel so bad for you! l use tights(im a skater) because socks make my feet hurt but anyways l know people who do not wear socks(they are skaters too) because its more ''comfortable'' & some coaches do that too

l never wear socks because my skates are such a good fit that socks start to cut off my circulation and make my feet even colder. But if the skates your wearing are a bit too big then you will defiantly need socks to keep those tootsies toasty

Yes. l use tights now, but l skated for 2 years without socks, but it was in my own skates.If it was in rentals, that is disgusting.

l have, but l do not do it often. I've pretty much only done it when teaching lessons for a short period of time or if l got stuck rink guarding years back. l prefer to skate with thick tights.

Ouch no! A girl in my session did last week, and she got nasty blisters and had to borrow a pair of socks from the arena!

if those were rental skates-That is GROSS! l never wear socks they hurt my feet! l would get blisters if l wore socks! l wear tights though. Quite a few kids at my rink skate barefoot though--the coach included!

its never happened to me, but l have a friend that skates without socks or tights.or anything on her feet...besides the skates.

No, but l did [accidentally] take super thin ankle socks with me, l was rushing. Then when l started to take out my stuff & looked for my socks, l was, like, Oh mi gawrsh! l forgot my skating socks! So l had to skate with the thin ankle socks, & l could feel the lining, it felt so icky, & when l finished my lesson, l immediately took off my skates & l saw that it got holes in them! [no holes before skating, btw.] EEWWW. :)) Anyway, l learned from that experience & l always have an extra pair of thick skating socks & tights in my skate bag. :D

l just started wearing tights underneath my socks three months ago. :D
