What brand of Figure Skates use real wood in the soles?

l am going to get new skates on Saturday, l am in an intermediate level, and l am interested in skates with wooden soles.

Do Jacksons, Riedell, Harlick etc. have wooden soles or just brown rubber soles?

By soles l mean like the underneath sorry! l know the upper part is always leather.

The soles are never wood, they are leather. It just looks like wood. Occasionally, they can be fiberglass. Unless you are interested in skates with cork soles.

They are usually Leather not wood. But you do need to make sure that you dry them off really well otherwise they could rot

not many iceskates have wooden soles in the feet anymore + it hurts
do not use wooden soles and skates are not rubber either

Ive just got some riedells. l beleive they are cork heels :)

Harlick occasionaly has wooden soles, but it casys extra

The soles/heels on better quality skates are made of compressed leather. Only low level skates or recreational skates have plastic or rubber soles. You can find all leather boots through Harlick, SP Teri, Klingbeil, Riedell, Jackson, etc. When you get fitted for your boots, let the shop know what you're looking for and based upon your skating level, size and goals, they should be able to give you a good recommendation.

My ice skates are Risport (RF3) and they are wooden healed :)
