l did not have any ice skates so l was thinking about it.

sounds painful. dont do that dummy! ice skating is hard enough WITH ice skates. l dont like it.

l think the wheels will go crazy on the ice causing you to go everywhere. so you would have less control.

Unless you want to fall down and bust your ass. go for it. But if you're smart, you won't. Since roller skates/blades have wheels you will be slipping all over the place since you will be directly on top of the surface. While blades dig in very, very slightly to the ice.

It is really not going to happen.

Ice skates gain traction by cutting the ice with the blade edge, providing the skater with something to push off on one skate, & glide along a controlled path on the other.

Inline & roller skates use the wheel footprint (contact area) & shape to provide traction on a suitable surface to push off, & roll on.

The ice is simply too low-friction a surface for roller blades or roller skates to gain traction on. Skating would be hard, ur efforts frustratingly 'feathered' so u did not slip a lot, & if u were to gain some speed - controlling a turn would be very, very difficult.

well im starting in a spring junior hockey league and where l go to ice skate they wont let you on because it with **** up the ice for everyone else and most places have rentals you can just go on their website and check it out. They should probabley be like 6$. Hope l helped:)
