l just found out my mom signed me up for skating level 3! The problem is the level is 3, for some reason she keeps wanting me to skate and l finally agree but to a basic classes like 2. In the past l have pasted skating level 1 and did half of 2 but that was 5 years ago and l never touched the ice ever since. So now I am freaked out about not being able to skate properly and being the worst skater in the group (which l probly will be). So any tips on what l should do? Classes begin in like 7 days so, l hope I will be alright.

Not to worry! Any decent skating school will be careful to make sure u r at the right level. See if u can get in touch with the director before class, & let him/her know that u r nervous & want to be sure u r in the best class for you. They may offer to evaluate ur skating on the ice, & then choose which class fits u best, or they may decide based on ur previous experience & skills.

Or u can simply try the class u r signed up for now, & then after a class or two, ask to be moved if u r not comfortable, or ur instructor might make the recommendation for you, if it is truly not the right class for you. Your instructor does not want u to feel u r in over ur head, but they want u to be challenged, too. Let them help u find that balance!
