I am 5'4 (thereabout) which is probably 164cm and I am a figure skater though am l too tall to be one?
All my friends who are figure skaters and gymnasts are shorter than me and l do not wear heels because l do not wanna stand out when I am with them.
Am l too tall to figure skate?

nope 5'4 is pretty all right.im 167cm and about average height in my class

l do not think so? l dont think there is a hight preference. The only think that matters in figure skating is your moves and your passion for the sport. Height shouldnt count for anything.

l dont know how tall is too tall for figure skating but l dont think you are since ive seen taller people skate in olympics and stuff. And im about 162cm and l am like the shortest out all my friends so dont stress =]

no ur not ur perfectly normal they will grow as tall as u & probably even taller its just that ur going threw ur growing fase now

trust me l no all my friends r shorter then me & l am an athlete to (runing,jumping,throwing e.t.c) but that is an advantage because my legs r longer so l like being tall

it also depends on ur age to l am almost 12 & l am am about 3 cm shorterthen you!

In figure skating, if your too tall you wo not be able to get height on jumps unless you are very light.

As long as you love it, do not worry about how tall you are. There are some well-known skaters that are tall.

For a lady, too tall for pairs, but still good enough for singles if you do not keep on growing. If you end up being 5'6, better switch to ice dancing.

l stopped growing at a plentifully tall 5'0 haha. And yes, l am used to looking up at people when l speak to them. ^^'

besides, our long lines look tons better in spiral and camels.
It just makes jumps a bazillion times harder.
