Honestly, l think it is a matter of the dress being appropriate for ur music/program . . . the figure skating dress should reflect the mood of ur music/program. To me it would depend on what u r skating to.

Other than that, l think that first dress has some interesting colors & textures put together! It is striking with all that contrast. It is a bit gaudy for my taste, but often those styles actually look kinda cool ON the ice - especially from the audience is point of view.

Just my opinion. Best of luck choosing a dress!
