Ok so I've been annoying my dad about Ice Skating lessons for a while now, and he thinks i'm getting distracted by it in school so now he said l should stop talking about it until l catch up. ONE PROBLEM, he made me changed my desktop from a skating background to a plain one and he does not want me to think about it or talk about it. and i'm getting angry! l REALLY WANNA WORK HARD! But idk everytime l try to sit down and focus l get distracted easily! What should l do? please help. l could of already started skating lessons in February of this year but i've been wasting my time on youtube and my grades are so low :(

l think about skating alot too, but it dosent mean l get low grades (but trust me, l know it can be distracting!).
You should tell ur dad how much skating means to you.

Just forget about it when u need to concentrate, mabey promise yourself something? Like a little treat to encrouage u to study.

Then again, mabey if u do the lessons u will stop thinking about it so much, so tell ur dad that.

Do not worry, u will be okay in the long run, just dont let it get to far, & stand up for yourself!

l went through something similar to ur situation two years ago l was so behind in my work but l stayed up all not & day & said to myself l am going to complete my work so that l can have a summer vacation. l stayed up day in & day out working on those mountains of papers/assignments. It seemed like l would never get done with them; l kept praying & encouraging myself even though my dad kept saying crap like ''It is too late now, you're going to fail the 8th grade''. l was depressed & felt like my life was over & I'd never have a summer break when he said that, but l lifted my head with a serious face & said, in my mind, he is wrong l will have a summer break & l am not going to sleep until l am done with all of these assigments (30 to be exact) in a week, that was the deadline for all the assignments). So l did not get any sleep for a whole week (i drank tea). it was very very hard. l began to cry but l kept encouraging myself, went on to search for articles on assignments, went to online tutoring & euclidlibrary.org & l finished & got to have a summer break. my point is try ur best to get on track & set a time to go on the sites after school. Wasting ur time will only cause things to get worse. focus straight on ur goal every time u sit down to do ur work. tell yourself '' l am going to complete my work because l want to be able ice skate.'' telling yourself why u want to complete ur work will motivate u to get it done , so that u can pursue ur dream. do not forget to pray & take action; prayer/faith without action will not work. u can do it! have faith!

stop wastin ur time on youtube & stuff lyk that. if u get ur grades up ur dad will trust u can hold the responsibility.

ice skating is a beautiful sport!! l have been doing it for 13 years now . l wont lie it duz get in the way of skool work sometimes but its ur responsibility to keep up!!

by the sounds of it u seem pretty eager .. u cld go far if ur really up to the training ..

so l think . get off the youtube & all those sites .. get ur grades up & get ur skates on & start learning . its a beautiful sport & if u really wanna do it . u shouldnt let it go. trust me if u get good enough this sport will take u places!!!!!
