l roller skate in shorts every Tuesday.
But just in case wear pants.
So if you fall on your knees you wont get bruised as badly.

No way, thats what a wear all the time. l find really cute stretchy comfortable shorts and then l wear (usually) over the boot type of tights and its perfect! It keeps me just the right temperature and its easy to move around in! l rarely wear pants except for yoga pants (i get them from LVLX) and then the rest of the time l wear shorts.

anyways. it makes u look like u cant skate. l mean seriously. how many skaters have u seen doing doubles & triples wearing short shorts to practice?

would u show up to a job wearing ur pajamas?
you have to present yourself. l dont mean u have to go all out on make-up & wear ur competition dresses. but at least wear pants & tie up ur hair!

your an athlete. this is practice time. not impress boys time ;P

check lijefe: Yes, l have seen many people doing double and triples in shorts. Oh and by the way, ''impress boys time''? Shorts are no more different than skirts that are really just a bathing suit bottom type with wrap around. Therefore, when you spin, jump, spirals, have you ever heard of the word ''upskirt''?

It is definitely not tacky. l wear pants, shorts, and skirts and all of them are pretty normal. :)

It is quite normal to see quite a few of the skaters at our rink wearing shorts on a regular basis.

l skate wearing OTB tights and SHORT cotton dance shorts all the time.not tacky at all. l personally like shorts better than pants, b/c l can ''feel'' my extensions better that way.but skirts are even better, b/c shorts do not have the tight leg bands to prevent tights from being dragged down as you move.

l do not think its tack at all, YOu may be cold with out tights? l see people way up in FS practice in shorts. If you do not wear tight you might want to wear tighter one so that they do not fall off when you jump or fall. l have actually thought about wearing shorts skating before, But l really love my yoga pants l skate in! :-D Good luck with your skating, Thanks for posting!

No it is not tacky if you wear dance shorts. But do not wear jean shorts, I've seen skaters wear them and they restrict movement. The ones made out of stretchy material are good to wear. l do not see many skaters wearing them, but some do. If you want to, go ahead.

l do not think so. l wear Soffe shorts with tights under them to figure skating every friday and it is a lot more comfortable than those little dresses!
