Which sport is more dangerous, figure skating, or ice hockey? Are you more likely to get a bad injury from being checked hard in hockey, or are you more likely to get hurt badly from an accidental fall in figure skating?

Both can be very dangerous. Lifts during pairs figure skating can cause major head injuries if the girl is dropped. The guy can get sliced by the girl is skate. Not to mention falling from falls can cause sprains and broken bones.

l am sure getting checked in hockey can cause quite a bit of bruising and broken bones too. l guess that is why many of them have lost teeth.

l myself am a figure skater. The only danger in hockey is getting hit in the back of the neck by a hockey puck. But l would have to say figure skating is far more dangerous. And l am not just saying that because l am a figure skater. Think of it this way. Hockey player wear so many pads that they can barely walk. But figure skaters wear nothing. They get bruised & cut all over their bodies. Not to mention most of them r guaranteed to get arthritis when they r older. Pair skaters r at rick the most. So many have gotten facial fractures. Many have almost died. And u can not ''accidentally'' fall in figure skating. Once u get to a certain level, falling is the only way to improve. You have to be a risk taker & being careful is not going to cut it.

Well, both comes with a lot of dangers, but that is just part of the sport. l am a figure skater, and I'd have to say, figure skating really gives you a tougher build than hockey players, who wear a bunch of paddingall over.

l am a figure skater- and I'd say that hockey is the more dangerous sport, although l guess you can get hurt figure skating, if your a good skater you know how to fall and will probably only end up w/ bruises.

both are dangerous, but in hockey there is protection with the pads and the mouth guards and the helmets. figure skaters are in a little bit more danger because there is barely any protection in a pair of pants. getting hurt is almost inevidable. figure skating is tied for the most dangerous sport along gymnastics.
