Nothing except you will keep banging into people going the other way. Also, in shopping Malls, or going into department stores, most people turn to their right, first. Probably something to do with most people are right-handed. But there is always exceptions - like you!

There is nothing wrong with it! You need to decide which direction works best for you. l always have my students spin both directions to see which one in more natural & that is usually the direction they will skate since ur jumps rotate the same direction as ur spins.

If neither way is predominant then l encourage going counter-clockwise just because of traffic issues on the ice. My daughter & my niece r both clockwise (lefty) skaters & they get very frustrated because no one ever gets out of their way (some do not know where they r going & do not know where to move to) & they r constantly going against the flow of traffic on the ice.

(Also, my 2 best friends were lefties & struggled with the same issues - that was when we put a lot more skaters on a session.)

l am a lefty and l do not find many issues even with traffic.. you should skate the way that is natural to you. i'm right- handed though but for whatever reason l skate left-handed.lol.

Nothing wrong with that. Everyone is more comfortable skating in a different direction. :)
