I heard once that you should NEVER wear jeans for ice skating...is this true and why
|
|
|
Dont
| |
|
Nah you can if you want, it is just because if you fall and they get wet they will take a long time to dry.

Why not, l always do it but I'd not recommend tight ones as it may limit your limb movement which is pretty useful in the sport.

l would say do not wear jeans because if you fall, it will soak in and make you look like you wet yourself. Also if they're to tight, you wont be able to skate fast lol. Hope this answered your question

if your just skating recreationaly with friends its fine. just dont fall, or they wont dry off for a while
if your taking lessons, or practicing figure skating, then dont wear them. they restrict your movement

Well first of all when you fall they will get wet, and when jeans get wet they stay wet. And you have barely any leg movement. Because most girls wear skinny jeans so you can not move in those. l would suggest not wearing them.

Yes, because you can not stretch properly in them. Also, they're not even as warm, and it will be irritating as a beginner. Even if they are stretchy, they are not good!! Wear (fleecy if you're very beginner), warm, long pants.
l hope this helps!

They get wet , its harder for you to move, and it makes it harder to skate

NO! wearing jeans skating really seriously restricts leg movement, If you stack it on the ice it will also put more strain on your legs and hurt more in more places even if you fall lightly. jeans get soaked really easily so im not sure its a good idea. if you want to do a lesson or public skating. not a good idea for your skating.
good luck!!

1) l do not even WEAR jeans in the winter, because they make your legs cold.
2) When they get wet, take forever to dry.
3) Stops the leg movement.
4) yes its true .
l wear yoga pants or track pants when l go ice skating.
like my dad always says, its never ''cool'' to be cold, just like when l go snowmobiling, l look a big ball but atleast im warm .

No its not true l wear them sometimes. But l would recommend wearing something else because if you fall your legs will get wet and wont dry out quickly and they can restrict your leg movement.

1. They're not too warm. 2. They get wet and stay wet. 3. They rip. If you are not planning on falling, go right ahead! :D

l would not go as far as to say NEVER, but if you fall they are prone to getting wet and they also restrict leg movement. l would advise against it.

They prevent proper leg movement.

depends what type of skating youre doing. l wear jeans to ice skate all the time (seriously like 5 times a week) and it doesnt affect me. Obviouslt they cant be too baggy or really tight but so long as it doesnt effect your skating its ok
