im at whatever the first one is haha... which l guess is pre-alpha? yeah l guess... so how long do you think it will take me to get to gamma because right now l have the riedell blue ribbon and they are suppose to only last to gamma but how long will that take? l know everyone is different but can you just give me like an estimation??? thanksss:]

Ok back when l was in gamma in took me about 4 months to get there

but maybe you can take up to 8 months

It took me a year to get to gamma. My rink has their own special system which adds in a lot of extra elements.

If it really is a problem, you can use your skates past gamma. l have the Riedell red ribbons and l am still using them and l am in the Gamma/Delta level. They are only supposed to be good through pre-alpha.

well it took me 2 months to get to freestyle 1, so that means it took me about two weeks to get to Gamma, but everyone is diffrent. At my rink Gamma is the ''toughy'' level, so everyone stays in it about three months. some girls skip gamma & some have been working on it for 7 months. It all depends on how much u practice. If u pracice 1x a week plus lessons, u will have no difficulty passing it.

About skates. Some of the girls at my rink still have blue ribons in freestyle2, but thaat is like the max u can use them. Id say since u r not working on much about jumps & spins, ditch the blue ribbons anout Delta or Freestyle 1 & get some better ones. sheck out riedells or jacksons (another brand of skates) websites, & they will show u lists of models. But the best person to ask would be ur teacher. She will give u the best recomendation.

well it really depends how good of a skater you are
A hard working skater- 3 months to 5 (you will probably make it somewhere in here)
normal skater- 8 to a year
Riedell blue ribbon actually lasts you awhile ,to tell you the truth l still have mine and l am on my axel (yes l know that pitiful, but i'm getting new Riedell Gold Medallion 300 is tomorrow!)

Best case scenario, it will take you a year to get to Gamma. l am sorry. :( Worst case would be two. However, if you can afford private coaching, which is about $25 per one hour segment at your level, than I've known people who have gotten there from the start in two months! Good luck and keep working hard!
